where time moves with the wilderness

At Elephant Point, safari is not scheduled around a timetable, it unfolds naturally. IIt is n the first light of dawn as elephants gather at the water’s edge, in the stillness of dusk when the bush exhales into silence, and within every unhurried moment in between. Here, wildlife encounters extend far beyond the traditional game drive. Watch animals move through the landscape from your private terrace, encounter the rhythms of the wild along the riverbank, or observe the bush come alive beside your pool. At Elephant Point, the safari does not wait for departure times, it comes to you.

into the heart of the kruger

guided safaris

The renowned Paul Kruger Gate to the south of the Kruger National Park lies just eight kilometres from the Elephant Point Privte Reserve. Beyond the gate, the park stretches across an unfenced expanse of the Greater Kruger ecosystem, where lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard and rhino roam freely across the untamed Lowveld. Rise before first light as the bush begins to stir. Your guide reads the landscape with the quiet intuition, interpreting tracks in the sand, distant alarm calls, and the subtle rhythms of the bush. A pride of lions returning from the hunt. A breeding herd emerging through the morning mist. The Kruger at dawn is raw, cinematic, and entirely unforgettable. Enjoy up to two guided safari drives daily, led by expert guides who transform every encounter into something meaningfule, rrevealing the stories, behaviours, and ancient patterns that define life in the bush.

The bush, at walking pace

guided bush walks & nature trails on the reserve

There is a deeper intimacy to the bush when experienced on foot. The landscape slows and sharpens at once, birdsong becomes distinct, tracks reveal unseen movement through the night, and the changing scent of the earth marks the passing hours. It is a quieter, more immersive way to encounter the wild. Led by expert guides whose knowledge of the Greater Kruger ecosystem is both instinctive and deeply rooted, guided bush walks on the Elephant Point Reserve offer a rare connection to the Lowveld landscape. Discover the intricate ecology of the Sabie River region through its flora, birdlife, animal tracks, and the often-overlooked details that give this wilderness its character. For those who prefer a more independent rhythm, a network of nature trails winds through the reserve, inviting unhurried exploration at your own pace.

Here, the safari comes to you. Wildlife sightings unfold from your private terrace, along the riverbank, and beside the pool.

where the wild restores you

the legacy balance spa

Three secluded treatment pods emerge organically from the landscape, nestled among ancient boulders, beneath acacia canopies, and surrounded by the ever-present sounds of the bush. At the Elephant Point Spa, wellness is not placed beside the wilderness; it is woven into it. This is a sanctuary designed for deep restoration, shaped by stillness, nature, and space. Discover seven signature wellness journeys, each crafted as an immersive ritual of touch, scent, and calm. Treatments are elevated through the use of globally respected skincare houses including BABOR, ESSE Skincare, THALGO, and Earth Ground Organics, bringing together science, sustainability, and sensory indulgence. Beyond each treatment pod, a private deck invites moments of stillness, complete with an outdoor shower and wood-fired hot tub overlooking the surrounding bushveld, where wildlife sightings become part of the experience. A fully equipped gym and open-air yoga terrace complete this holistic wellness retreat in the heart of the Greater Kruger.
ART

art that interprets the land itself

A living collection, curated by Hogarth Art
Art at Elephant Point is not simply displayed, it is embedded within the experience itself. Interwoven through architecture, landscape, and the rhythm of movement across the reserve, the collection reflects the elemental forces that shape the Lowveld: water, earth, light, time, and memory. Rather than serving as decoration, each work deepens the sense of place and connection to the wilderness. Guests are welcomed at reception by a striking suspended copper elephant installation by Anton Smit, sculpted from trees naturally shaped through elephant foraging which offers a powerful dialogue between nature and form. Within the SAN Restaurant, the celebrated plastic collage work of Mbongeni Buthelezi invite reflection on conservation, consumption, and humanity’s imprint on the natural world, while the nearby work of Gail Caitlin's luminous liquid crystal baobab transforms subtly throughout the day, responding to shifting light in a living interplay of colour and atmosphere. Works by Philip Tyers complete a curated collection that reveals itself gradually, deliberately discovered not all at once, but through the unfolding rhythm of a stay at Elephant Point.

the rhythm of a day here
is entirely yours.

Rise before first light for the Kruger at dawn. Return as the bush goes quiet, pool waiting, the morning's sightings still fresh. As the sun drops and the light turns gold, elephants move to the water. Hippos surface in the shallows. Gather at the boma as the fire takes hold and more stars appear over the Sabie than you will have seen in a long time. This is the rhythm of a day at Elephant Point. It is different every time, and it is entirely yours.
