not a schedule,
a way of living in the wild
At Elephant Point Private Reserve, situated six kilometres from the Paul Kruger Gate on the banks of the Sabie River within the Greater Kruger ecosystem, experience is not something offered at a fixed hour. It unfolds — at dawn when elephants move to the water, at dusk when the bush falls quiet, and in every unhurried moment between.
Wildlife sightings are not confined to game drives. They happen from your private terrace, along the riverbank, and beside the pool. Here, the safari comes to you.
into the heart of the kruger
guided game drives & open-vehicle safaris
The Paul Kruger Gate is five kilometres from Elephant Point. Beyond it lies one of Africa's greatest wildlife sanctuaries, unfenced wilderness through which lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard and rhino move freely across the Lowveld.
Rise before first light. Your ranger reads the land as instinctively as the animals that move through it. A pride stirring before dawn. A breeding herd crossing the road in morning mist. The Kruger at first light is unlike anywhere else on earth. Up to two guided drives daily, in open vehicles, led by rangers who turn every sighting into a story.
The bush, at walking pace
guided bush walks & nature trails on the reserve
There is a different intimacy to the bush when you are on foot. Sounds sharpen. Tracks tell stories that a vehicle passes without noticing. The scent of the land changes with the hour.
Led by guides with a deep and unhurried knowledge of the Greater Kruger ecosystem, guided bush walks on the Elephant Point reserve offer a rare closeness to the Lowveld landscape, its flora, its birdlife and the small details that define this stretch of the Sabie River. Nature trails also run through the reserve for those who prefer to move at their own pace.
Here, the safari comes to you. Wildlife sightings unfold from your private terrace, along the riverbank, and beside the pool.

the legacy balance spa
the legacy balance spa
Three treatment pods emerge from the terrain — nestled among boulders, acacia trees, and the sounds of the bush. The Legacy Balance Spa is not a spa that happens to be in the wilderness. It is a wilderness space designed for restoration.
Seven signature wellness journeys, each conceived as a ceremony of touch, scent, and stillness. World-class product houses BABOR, ESSE, THALGO, and Earth Ground Organics underpin every ritual. Outside each pod: a private deck, an outdoor shower, and a wood-fired hot tub for wildlife viewing. A fully equipped gym and yoga terrace complete the offering.
art that interprets the land itself
At Elephant Point, art is not placed, it is integrated. Woven through architecture, landscape, and movement, the collection explores the invisible forces of the Lowveld: water, soil, light, time, and memory. Rather than decorating the experience, it deepens it.
Anton Smit's suspended copper elephant installation carved from trees shaped by natural elephant foraging, greets guests at reception. In the SAN Restaurant, Mbongeni Buthelezi's signature plastic collage work prompts reflection on conservation and human impact. Gail Caitlin's liquid crystal baobab shifts in tone through the light of each passing hour. Philip Tyers completes a collection that reveals itself slowly, through the rhythm of a stay.
the rhythm of a day here
is entirely yours.
Rise before first light for the Kruger at dawn. Return as the bush goes quiet, pool waiting, the morning's sightings still fresh. As the sun drops and the light turns gold, elephants move to the water. Hippos surface in the shallows. Gather at the boma as the fire takes hold and more stars appear over the Sabie than you will have seen in a long time. This is the rhythm of a day at Elephant Point. It is different every time, and it is entirely yours.
