WHY EARLY CHILDHoOD DEVELOPMENT?

  • Undernutrition contributes to +/- 45% of deaths in children from 1 - 7 yrs of age.
  • Investing in the health and wellbeing of the children of South Africa is an investment in the future development of our country.
  • Better early nutrition for children results in higher earnings later in life - contributing to overall economic growth.
  • Failure to tackle this challenge is condemning millions of children to lives of exclusion - lives where they will not have the brainpower to succeed in school or find jobs in an increasingly digitised workplace.
