• DAAN VILJOEN PARK: In the close vicinity of Windhoek, only 24 km in western direction, the 40 km² large game park Daan Viljoen is located. The park is situated in the Khomas Hochland and is a conservation area for many game species with high numbers of mountain zebras, giraffe, kudus, klipspringers, blue wildebeest, springbok and many others. Furthermore more than 200 species of birds are found here.
• GROSS BARMEN: Gross Barmen is a hot spring and a popular destination. It is located 100 km from Windhoek and 24 km east of Okahandja. The hot mineral springs have a temperature of 65 °C and are cooled down to 40 °C for the use in the thermal pool.
• VON BACH DAM: The Von Bach Dam is located about 60 kilometres north of Windhoek, the Namibian capital and 5 kilometres southeast of the town Okahandja. The dam is surrounded by a game park and different water sports are offered. Angling is also allowed and permits are available at the entrance.

The Kokerboom offers a buffet selection for lunch and dinner. Help yourself to a wide selection of starters; and for your main course, pick the meat or fish of your choice, which will be prepared in front of you. Similarly, breakfast is self-service with omelettes and other fantastic treats, cooked to order. For those who prefer some fresh air, sit on the restaurant terrace, which looks out onto the pool and gardens.
