This Directory of Services has been compiled to acquaint and assist you with the services and facilities of our Hotel. Should this be your first visit, we sincerely hope that all your expectations will be met. If you have stayed with us before, it is our wish that you will let us know how we can better serve you. As your hosts, we invite you to contact us for anything you may require during your stay, and assure you of our hospitality and personal attention at all times. Above all, enjoy the unspoilt landscapes and diverse cultural heritage this country offers and return home with fond memories of Swakopmund and Namibia - Land of Contrast.

Situated on the Skeleton Coast of Namibia, the Swakopmund Hotel & Entertainment Centre was built in and around the old German Railway Station in 1994, making it one of the few hotels to be steeped in the rich history of the area. The hotel offers holiday seekers a plethora of activities including desert tours, dolphin cruises, dune boarding, camel riding and even desert golf. Get your game on at the Mermaid Casino in the Entertainment Centre with American Roulette, Stud Poker, Blackjack and slot machines. With so much on offer and it being extremely accessible, this is an ideal destination for families, MICE delegates and leisure seekers alike.

Action in case of fire:

Please remain calm at all times.
Touch your room door, if hot, DO NOT OPEN.
Fix a wet cloth over your face and mouth to act as a filter.
If you are able to leave your room,
Proceed to the nearest fire exit (plan of which is displayed at the back of your room door).
Please exit the hotel through the emergency exit, closing the door behind you.
Do not stop to search for relatives or friends.
Please proceed directly to the assembly point which you will be directed.
If on arrival at the assembly point you cannot locate a person, notify the manager present.
Do not go back into the building. Procedures exist to combat emergencies and you are required to co-operate with any directions given by authorised personnel in such emergencies.
Should you remain in your room,
Advise the switchboard operator immediately of your whereabouts and your situation.
Fill the bathtub with water.
Wet the bed sheets or towels and shift the,m around the door.
Keep the wet cloth over your face and mouth to act as filter.
If the walls and door is hot, bail them with water using a container.

Remember to remain calm.

In order to make you feel more at ease with your surroundings during your stay may we suggest the following precautions.

Please familiarize yourself with the safety procedures of the hotel.
Please familiiarize yourself with the nearest fire exist and know how you are able to get there under adverse conditions.
Please familiarize yourself with how to open and close the door in the dark.
All rooms are non-smoking.
Please place your valuables in the room safe.
Please do not leave your valuables in your vehicle.
When returning the the hotel late in the evening use the main entrance of the hotel . Be observant and look around you when entering parking lots.
Close the door securely whenever you are in the room and use all the locking devices provided.
When you are out of your room, please ensure your room door, patio door and windows have been locked behind you.
Should you notice any suspicious activity or incident, please alert our Duty Manager as soon as possible.
At night, please walk on the lit pathways.
When using taxis, use only clearly marked taxis or those called by the hotel staff.

Please note that Swakopmund Hotel and Entertainment Centre disclaims any responsibility or liability from any loss or damage to such valuables whether such loss arises from any cause or by whomsoever. Most important, please remember that you are here to enjoy yourself and at any time should you require any assistance or information, please do not hesitate to contact any of the Hotel Management.

Namibia is a dry country - please help us to conserve water by following the basic procedures set out below.

Your towels will only be washed if they are placed on the floor.
Please try and limit your showers to under 4 minutes - short showers use up to 10 times less water than a full bath or long shower.
Water pressure may vary due to Municipal fluctuations.
Please close the tap while brushing teeth, or using soap and shampoo - alternatively use a plug.
If you notice any leaks, kindly notify Management.
