IN CASE OF A FIRE OR ANY OTHER EMERGENCY PRESS 9

  • A FIRE/ BOMB/ BOMB THREAT Any person discovering a fire, evidence of a fire, an object resembling a Bomb or receiving a bomb threat must: - Sound the nearest alarm or contact the co mmunication centre/ switchboard on Ext 9 Take any action possible, such as use of an appropriate fire extinguisher (located on all floors and public area’s)
  • EVACUATION: If the building is to be evacuated, an alarm will be sounded. Close windows and doors when leaving the room, do not collect your belongings Establish the location of the Fire and acquaint yourself with the nearest escape route, as indicated on the inside of your bedroom door DO NOT USE THE ELEVATORS (LIFTS) Assistance must be given to children and the elderly, or frightened. Follow the signs to the emergency exits and proceed to the congregation point. Your full co-operation in the above will ensure that the dangers involved are reduced to a minimum
