We invite you to enjoy all your meals in our restaurant located next to Reception, with an outdoor terrace area overlooking the Hippo Pond. Meal Times: Breakfast 08:00-10:00 Monday-Thursday and 07:00 - 10:30 on Saturdays and Sundays. Lunch 12:30 - 14:30 Dinner 18:30 - 22:00 Terrace Menu available from 11:00 - 21:00 daily. We also offer an Out of Africa special on Friday evenings. Enquire at the restaurant for more information.

• Are Your Kids Interested In Wildlife ? Sign them up for our Junior Ranger Programme where they will learn all the intricate details about the bush such as animals, birds, spoors, scat, as well as a few urban legends around the trees in the park. In addition to this, we also offer other interesting activities for the kids including: A guided educational walk around the lodge – R130 per child (+/- 1 hour)
• Casting of a Spoor – R110 per casted print. Kids get to cast their own copy of a track.
• Extreme birding – R190 per child. Kids learn how to identify the various birds around the Pilanesberg.
• Game Drive – R190 per child. Kids learn how to read the signs of the bush. We also have a selection of checklists and activity books for kids.
• As we want the kids to feel special and to give the parents some time off.
• These activities are strictly reserved for children aged 4-12 years only.

We offer a convenient daily shuttle service to and from Sun City. Bookings are required in advance. For bookings and more information, please contact Reception.

Sun City is an entertainment centre located just 5 mins away from Bakubung. Entrance into Sun City can be purchased through our reception desk.

Cultural market at the bottom gate of Bakubung. Shuttles to the gate can be arranged with reception.

A relaxing pub and lounge next door to the Marula Grill Restaurant provides the perfect spot to enjoy live sport or a night cap after dinner.

The hotel has 2 floodlit courts available for exclusive use of guests. Tennis rackets and balls are available at reception.

Our Volleyball court is available for guests to use if they have brought their own ball with them. We are not permitted to rent any sports equipment out to guests at this time.

Head out into the spectacular African wilderness to witness the awe inspiring Big 5,under the careful watch of our highly experienced guides. October - March : 05h30 and 16h30 April : 05h30 and 16h00 May : 06h00 and 15h30 June & July : 06h00 and 15h00 August : 06h00 and 15h30 September 05h30 and 16h00. Booking is essential with the Wildlife Centre on ext.4226. Game drives depart from behind the Wildlife centre, please be there 15mins before departure.

A 4-5hr hike through the Pilanesberg plains with our experienced trail guides. R1060 per person, walks depart in the early morning with times varying according to season, includes a snack pack, no under 17s and other T&C's apply. Bookings are essential and can be made with the Wildlife Centre on ext.4226.

An educational snake talk is done every Wednesday and Saturday morning, weather dependant. Times : May - Aug 12:00 Sept- April 10:00 . Please call the Wildlife Centre on ext.4226 in order to book your spot
